Beaded/ Carved Vase: This beautiful cobalt blue glazed vase was created with the idea of mixing the pebbles of the beach with the serenity of the blue oceans. The piece was wheel thrown, trimmed and after it was leather hard, carved with an exciting design. The piece was then put on the drying bench for thirty days, then loaded into the kiln and fired to 1900 degrees. After the firing it was taken out of the kiln, washed and glazed. Then I reloaded the vase into the kiln and fired it to 2400 degrees. This is a decorative piece, placing it on a table next to a wall will provide a person with many years of visual pleasure. | ||
